APRIL 16 - MANY THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS
My goodness you folks seemed to have a good time this year. We'd like to once again thank you for your comments on social media and also those sent to use directly.
Here are few that we received -
From Andrew Randall - Tim, Thanks for the invite to ride this year's PtoA. I was missing out all those years that I was focusing on road racing. I had a great time! I will be back next year for sure. Given all the rain the course was really good. I know it was a bit shorter, but it was amazing how much the rail trails had dried up. I don't know if you put up any links or anything but I wrote a quick blog about my first ride at PtoA: http://www.arcoaching.ca/category/news/ Thanks for getting me out. Andrew
From Gord Singleton - Morning Tim.
First, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to ride in the P to A.
It was a memorable experience and certainly something that in all my years of cycling I have never accomplished.
The Norco guys were fantastic, the bike was superb (I'm not just saying that).
I'm not sure if you have the forum to convey a message for me to your gazillion volunteers.
They really need a big hug for an outstanding job. Everyone that I spoke with was totally commited to the cause. So perhaps somewhere you can tell this to them from me.
It was awesome to sit around before and after and chat with some of my old peers, that was worth the price of admission to me.
And to you and John, great hosts, I'm sure you'll be thinking of ways to improve future races, but you accomplished a wonderful event.
Thank you, Gordon. (P.S. Gord donated one of his 1982 World Championship jerseys to the auction at the awards - it raised $250 for the Milton Velodrome!)
VIDEO AND PHOTOS - MORE AND MORE ARE COMING ON LINE
Nice little bit of video coverage from Get Out There Magazine - on YouTube
Canadian Cyclist has put up some video and the first of many photos - Canadian Cyclist
Some very nice photos of the Mudslide from Lyan Photography
If you've got photos or video please send us a link and we'll let the community know.
SHOUT OUT TO NORCO AND GIANT - Thanks for donating bikes which went in the bike auction – both sold for good prices and all proceeds to Velodrome!
APRIL 14 - 7PM POST RACE - OUR SINCERE THANKS!
Thanks to all of our participants, the Olympians, our volunteers, our sponsors, our exhibitors and everyone else for making our 20th Annual P2A a special day.
We are very proud to have been able to provide you with a great day of racing. Thanks so much for the kind words.
